The layout model is composed of objects that define the positioning and appearance of data and other objects in a report. Layout model objects include:

By default, the report layout is defined for the Main section. You can optionally define alternate layouts for the Header and Trailer sections, each with a different target audience, output format, page layout, page size, or orientation. For example, a single report can include an executive summary for senior management in one section and also a detailed breakdown for individual managers in another section. For now, we'll define our report in the default Main section.
